Jeffrey A. Gaertig


Jeff has diverse litigation experience in both civil and criminal matters and currently focuses on commercial and real estate litigation, representing and defending businesses and corporate clients. As a former state prosecutor, Jeff specializes in criminal law, defending the constitutional rights of individuals with respect to criminal matters. He has successfully represented individuals charged with felony and misdemeanor offenses, juvenile and domestic violence court cases, achieving favorable results for our clients. Further, Jeff practices family law matters, involving complex property settlements, alimony, child custody and support, contempt and enforcement proceedings. Additionally, his skills are well suited to help handle personal injury cases.

Jeff graduated from Hemingford High School in 1990. He attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and received his B.A. in 1994 and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2004. Before attending law school, Mr. Gaertig worked at the Nebraska Unicameral as a Legislative Aide to State Sen. Roger Werhbein. Upon receiving his law license, he went into the private practice of law before joining the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office in 2005 as an Assistant Attorney General. Jeff has been with the firm since 2013 and is licensed in Nebraska and Kansas.

Jeff is active in community service and currently serves as county chair for the Gage County Republican Party, was a former board member for Gage County United Way, a Leadership Beatrice participant, and completed Leadership Nebraska (for the legal community).

Jeff lives in Beatrice with his wife Jeanne and raising their three daughters, Kayla, Avery, and Mia.
